YOGYAKARTA TO SURABAYA (BY PLANE) – MOUNT BROMO – IJEN CRATER – BALI  (3 DAYS 2 NIGHTS)

Day 1: Pick up service from Yogyakarta – Hotel in Mount Bromo area

Yogyakarta to Bromo and Ijen crater tour will start at about 6:30 AM, our staff will pick you up from your hotel in the Yogyakarta area. You will be escorted to Yogyakarta airport then you take a flight to Surabaya for about an hour. The airplane will leave Yogyakarta around 8:30 am and arrive in Surabaya around 9:35 am. Upon your arrival at Surabaya airport, you will be met by our guide and driver, and then we will drive from Surabaya to the Mount Bromo area for about 3-4 hours. Upon your arrival in the Mt Bromo area, we will escort you to the hotel in the Mount Bromo area for an enjoyable stay before you do Mount Bromo tour.

From now on, there are only two flights from Yogyakarta (JOG) to Surabaya which is only by Wing Airlines:

1. 1. 8:30 AM – 9:35 AM
2. 2. 1:00 PM – 2:05 PM

OPTIONALPROGRAM:
If you can start in the morning & the weather is good enough, you will have a chance to visit Madakaripura Waterfall on the way from Malang to your hotel in the Mt. Bromo area. Please check the picture of Madakaripura waterfall on the Internet

Day 2: Bromo Sunrise Tour – Hotel in the Banyuwangi area

The Bromo sunrise tour will start around at 3:30 AM (when you come to Mount Bromo on the weekend, we have to start the tour earlier), the jeep will bring you to the most famous viewpoint in the Mount Bromo area. That is Penanjakan hill, from the hill we can see the best sunrise in East Java with mountains and volcanoes as a background. Afterward, the jeep will continue your trip to reach the sea of sands in the Mount Bromo area. We will stop at the parking area then you will cross the sea of sands by riding a horse or on foot (it is optional) till reaching the stairs at the slope of Mount Bromo which will lead you to reach the peak of Mt. Bromo. After enjoying the volcanic activity on the top of Mount Bromo, you have to go back to your jeep then the jeep will bring you back to the hotel for breakfast, take shower, pack up, loading bags into our car afterward we will drive from Mount Bromo to Ijen area for about 5-6 hours. On this route, we will pass rural landscapes, small cities, rice fields, plantations, and beaches. Lunch will be served on the way to the local restaurant. About in the late afternoon or in early evening, we will be reaching your hotel in the Ijen Crater area which is only an hour away from Ijen Crater. You will be staying overnight here before you do trekking in Ijen Crater tomorrow morning.

Day 3: Ijen Crater Tour – Hotel in the Bali area

The Ijen crater tour will start at 5:00 AM, our car will bring us to the Paltuding area by passing through the plantations and rainforest. Paltuding is the parking area before the peak of Ijen Crater with an altitude of 1850 m. This journey takes approximately an hour from your hotel. Arriving at Platuding, 1.5 hours will be required to hike Ijen Crater. Along the walking path, you will enjoy the stunning natural scenery with fresh air and birds singing. Upon your arrival on the peak of Ijen Crater with an altitude of about 2385 m. You will be amazed at the enchanting panorama of Ijen Crater; it has a lake of acid water where the water changes to be turquoise color. The view will be so picturesque when you take a photo from above the crater. Besides the view, you will see the sulfur miners who go down into the crater to take the yellow sulfur rock and climb back up by passing a dangerous path on the edge of Ijen Crater with a load of as much as 80 kilograms on their shoulders. This is really a dangerous and hard job. After enjoying the enchanting scenery at Crater of Ijen Crater then we will go down to the parking area to continue our trip to Bali, we will drive from Ijen to Bali but you will be escorted to the plantations of coffee and clove. Afterward, we will back to Hotel and take our bags then we will drive to Ketapang Ferry Port, and take a ferry for about an hour to reach Gilimanuk Ferry Port (Bali side). Upon arrival at Gilmanuk Ferry port, we will escort you to your hotel in the Bali area (Ubud, Lovina, Pemuteran, Denpasar, Kuta).

OPTIONAL PROGRAM:
If the weather is good enough and you still have good conditions for trekking at night, you can take Ijen Blue Fire tour in Ijen Crater but you are required to leave from the Homestay around 00:30 AM or Midnight. Please check the picture of the blue fire at Ijen Crater on the Internet.
