We chose Bali because there are many travelers who seek more adventurous activities near the island. IMPORTANT NOTICE FOR IJEN CRATER:
* Visitors descending into the crater must maintain a minimum safety distance of 500 meters from the sulfur mining area.
* The visibility of the blue fire is not guaranteed, as it depends on weather conditions and gas/mining activity.

THE TOUR DETAILS:
We will start the tour at 7 pm from Sanur, Kuta, Canggu, Denpasar, Seminyak, Jimbaran, Nusa Dua, and Ubud (with an additional cost for Ubud). We will start an hour earlier if you stay in Karang Asem, Amed, or Uluwatu (additional costs will apply). If you stay in Lovina or Pemuteran, we will start around 10 pm, and the price will be lower because it’s closer to the harbor.

Upon your arrival in Gilimanuk Harbour, you will be meeting with our local guide who will guide you to Kawah Ijen Volcano and escort you to cross the Bali Strait with a ferry for an hour sailing. A passport is needed to purchase the ferry ticket.

Upon arrival at Java Ferry Harbor (Ketapang Harbor), our Javanese driver will be ready to take you to Kawah Ijen Volcano. The drive will take an hour. You can check the details of the itinerary below:

HERE IS THE ITINERARY OF THE TOUR:

• 7:00-7:30 PM (Balinese Time): Pick up service and transfer to Gilimanuk Ferry Harbour
• 00:00 AM (Balinese Time): Meet your guide and take a ferry to Banyuwangi, Java Island
• 00:30 AM (Javanese Time): Start driving to Paltuding (the Start Point of the Trekking)
• 2:00 AM (Javanese Time): Trekking to Ijen Crater/Kawah Ijen Volcano

The trek will take about 1 – 2 hours, depending on your fitness. Upon your arrival at the top of the crater, you will be invited to see the most famous natural phenomenon of blue fire. There are only 2 in the world: Kawah Ijen Volcano in Indonesia and Dallol Volcano in Ethiopia. But to see closer, you must go down into the crater of Kawah Ijen Volcano. It’s quite dangerous, so if you have any doubts about going down, we suggest staying at the top while waiting for sunrise.

• 5:30 AM (Javanese Time): Sunrise time and photo session at the top of the crater.
• 7:00 AM (Javanese Time): Go down to the parking place
• 8:00 AM (Javanese Time): Driving back to the city
• 9:00 AM (Javanese Time): Having breakfast (cost on your own)

We recommend having breakfast in Banyuwangi town after trekking from Kawah Ijen Volcano because Banyuwangi Town has some choices for breakfast, you can have a great local breakfast (Local Indonesian Cuisine), or take a buffet in Ketapang Indah Hotel or any other hotel which has a lot of choices.

• 10:30 AM (Javanese Time): Back to Ferry port
• 12:30 PM (Balinese Time): Meet your same Balinese driver from yesterday in Gilimanuk Harbour (Bali Side), and he will be ready to escort you back to your place in the Bali area.
• 4:00-5:00 PM (Balinese time): Arrive at your hotel in Kuta, Sanur, Canggu, or Nearby

   The temperature at Kawah Ijen Volcano is approximately +10 to +13 degrees at sunrise, and it can be colder when it’s windy. We highly recommend that you consider your comfort in advance.
