TOUR ITINERARY

DAY 1: BALI – HOTEL IN BANYUWANGI

The Ijen crater tour from Bali will start at 11:00 AM (Balinese time zone), our staff will pick you up from your hotel in Bali. Then you will drive to Gilimanuk Ferry Port, which will take about ± 4-5 hours. Afterward, you will take the ferry for about an hour to reach Ketapang Ferry Port. Then, we will escort you to a local restaurant for having lunch and then continue our trip to your hotel in the Banyuwangi area for an enjoyable stay before you do a tour of the Ijen crater the next morning.

OPTIONAL PROGRAM OF SPECIAL INTEREST;
If you can start in the morning from Denpasar around 8:30 AM, we will invite you to do a coffee experience tour where you will see the process all about the best coffee bean traditionally in Java (Roasting, Grinding, and Serving).

DAY 2: IJEN BLUE FIRE TOUR – HOMESTAY IN PULAU MERAH BEACH AREA

Ijen blue fire tour will start at 00:30 AM, our car will bring us to the village of Licin and then continue to the slope of Mout Ijen, passing through plantations and rainforest. This is one of few remaining on the island of Java with giant ferns, plants & big trees and we will see those things when the sun rises. This journey takes approximately 1 hour from the hotel in Banyuwangi by car. Arriving at the parking area of Mount Ijen, approximately 1 to 1.5 hours will be required to ascend the slope of Ijen to reach the peak of Ijen Crater but to see the blue flame we need to climb the crater down around 30 minutes (sport and hiking shoes required). When you arrived at the bottom of the crater of Ijen Volcano, you will see the amazing view of the Blue flame everybody said, it is only two in the world (only in Ijen Volcano, Indonesia, and Dallol Volcano in Ethiopia).

When the sun rises, you will be invited to climb the crater up to enjoy the stunning natural scenery with fresh air & shade. Rest on the edge of the crater at an altitude of 2385 meters and enjoy the best panorama of the lake of acid water which reflects the spectacular view in the surrounding walls that gives the impression of doom. The sulfur miners go down into the crater and climb back up by passing a dangerous path on the edge of the Ijen crater with a load of as much as 80 kilograms on their shoulders. This is really a dangerous and hard job, moreover, you can only see this kind of job in Ijen Crater, if you are willing to give something to them, please do not give money, we recommend something that is more useful for them.

After enjoying the natural scenery at Crater of Ijen and then descend the slope of Mount Ijen until the vehicle’s parking area where our vehicle is waiting for escorting you to the plantations (coffee and clove). Afterward, we will be back to the town of Banyuwangi

for going back to Hotel and taking breakfast then we will give you time for sleeping for a couple of hours, and around 11:30 AM we will drive to a local restaurant for a lunch with traditional and unique food from Banyuwangi town. Then, we will be driving to your homestay in the Pulau Merah Beach area for about 2 – 3 hours. In this place, you will get one of the most stunning sunsets in Banyuwangi. Staying overnight and get your barbecue time before taking a sleep.

DAY3: PULAU MERAH BEACH – GREEN BAY – SUKAMADE TURTLE BEACH

After having breakfast and walking around the shore around 9:00 AM, we will escort you to the beautiful green bay. It takes

about an hour from Red Island. Along the way, you will find some plantations (cacao and rubber) and brown sugar maker then you will be welcomed by the fishermen around who escort you to the green bay for about 10 minutes (it depend on the weather, if the weather is not good, you need to walk about 2 kilometers to reach the green bay). Grilled fish and fresh young coconuts are waiting for your lunchtime.

Around 1:00 PM, we will drive to Sukamade Turtle Beach for about 1 1,5 hours riding a 4WD car (jeep). You will be crossing the rainforest and rivers using our special adventure jeep. Upon your arrival in Sukamade Turtle Beach area, you will stay in the homestay or guest house there.

• THE ACTIVITY IN SUKAMADE TURTLE BEACH:
  
  The sukamade turtle beach tour will start after having dinner at your guest house at 8.00 PM, The rangers of the turtle foundation and natural resources conservation will take you to the shore of Sukamade beach to see if the turtle laying eggs. The rangers will give you very good guidance about what should you do and what shouldn’t do when you are there.
• THE INFORMATION ABOUT SUKAMADE TURTLE BEACH:7 species of sea turtles in the world and 6 species of sea turtles in Indonesia, 4 species landing and laying eggs on Sukamade Beach. Seeing the turtles lay their eggs at the night is the most poignant sight that can be seen by visitors. Imagining the sea turtles taking a distance of thousands of kilometers from their origin in the other parts of the continent far away and just laying eggs on Sukamade Beach.
• ACCOMMODATION IN SUKOMADE BEACH:
  The conditions here are very simple, but more often than not visitors are lucky enough to come back with an experience that is both unique and bound to become exceedingly rare. Stay overnight and take dinner at the lodge or guest house in Sukamade beach

DAY 4: SUKAMADE TURTLE BEACH – TRANSFER BACK TO YOUR HOTEL IN BALI

After having an early breakfast in the Sukamade turtle beach area. At 7:00 AM, we will have a chance to release some baby turtles or little juveniles to the Sukamade beach. Then exploring the surroundings of Sukomade, is an area virtually void of people. Go and dip in crystal clear water nearby the river. Afterward, we will be back to the town of Banyuwangi in about 4 – 5 hours for having lunch at the local restaurant, and then we will drive to Ketapang Ferry Port then take a ferry to reach Gilimanuk Ferry Port on the western tip of Bali Island. Upon arrival at Gilmanuk Ferry port, we will escort you to your hotel in Bali (Ubud, Lovina, Sanur, Kuta, Jimbaran area).
