TOUR ITINERARY

DAY 1: YOGYAKARTA AIRPORT – YOGYAKARTA CITY TOUR – HOTEL IN BOROBUDUR AREA
The Yogyakarta tour package will start from the airport in Yogyakarta then our staff will meet you and escort you to Yogyakarta city for a city tour. After enjoying the tour in Yogyakarta, we will drive from Yogyakarta to Borobudur temple for about 1.5 hours.

NOTE: WE RECOMMEND ARRIVING AT YOGYAKARTA IN THE MORNING OR MIDDAY, SO WE WILL HAVE TIME TO VISIT SOME PLACES, FOR EXAMPLE, PRAMBANAN TEMPLE, SULTAN PALACE & ETC.
SO ON THE SECOND DAY, WE WILL BE A BIT RELAXED AFTER VISITING THE BOROBUDUR TEMPLE

Important News from Borobudur Temple & Sultan Palace:

There will be no sunrise tour anymore on the top of the temple and no one is allowed to visit the top of the temple as well. From now on, we can only see the BOROBUDUR TEMPLE at the bottom of the temple, and for sunrise, we will go to Setumbu Hill.

Good news: There is a trial to climb up to the top floor but with special shoes and a special ticket (we will cover the ticket for you, so nothing to worry about)

Monday: Borobudur and Sultan Palace are closed.

DAY 2: SETUMBU HILL SUNRISE TOUR & BOROBUDUR TEMPLE TOUR – ACCOMMODATION IN MOUNT BROMO (VIA TRAIN FROM YOGYAKARTA TO SURABAYA)

The second day of the tour will start at 4:30 am from your accommodation and we will drive to Setumbu Hill for around 15 minutes and walk about 5-10 minutes to the sunrise spot, before the sun rises, you can have hot tea or coffee from the local stand. This spot is very famous for photographers because you can see the top of Borobudur Temple in the middle of villages and surrounded by greeny lush and Mount Merapi, Merbabu, and some volcanoes from a far distance.

After enjoying the sunrise at Setumbu Hill, we will go to Borobudur temple for the first session, you will get a tote bag and special shoes to go up to the Borobudur temple, and the local guide from the temple will give you a briefing on what should and shouldn’t, then you will go to the temple together. You will be only allowed to stay at the temple for an hour, this is a new regulation to avoid mass tourism and the destruction of the temple.

Note: There is an optional tour that you can book during your visit to the Borobudur Area, is a Cycling Tour that you can book with our driver, you will have a chance to cycle around the village and see what the people around do in the Morning. (It will be your own cost)

Around 10:00, our staff will pick you up at the temple and go back to your accommodation for breakfast before continuing our trip back to Yogyakarta city, the drive will take about 2 hours and you can stop at a restaurant to have a short break or coffee before heading directly to the train station. The train will leave at 13:38 and arrive in Surabaya at 17:35. Upon your arrival at Surabaya Gubeng Train Station, you will meet our other staff then you will be escorted to your local accommodation in Mount Bromo, it will take a 3-hour drive.

DAY 3: BROMO SUNRISE TOUR – BALI
The Bromo sunrise tour will start around 3.30 AM (when you come to Mount Bromo on the weekend, we have to start the tour earlier), the jeep will bring you to the most famous viewpoint in the Mount Bromo area. That is Penanjakan Hill, from the hill we can see the best sunrise in East Java with mountains and volcanoes as a background. Afterward, the jeep will continue your adventure holiday to reach the sea of sands in the Mount Bromo area. We will stop at the parking area then you will cross the sea of sands by riding a horse or on foot (it is optional) till reach the stairs at the slope of Mount Bromo which will lead you to reach the peak of Mt. Bromo. After enjoying the volcanic activity on the top of Mount Bromo, you have to go back to your jeep then the jeep will bring you back to the hotel for breakfast, take a shower, pack up, loading bags into our car then we will continue our trip to Ketapang Ferry Port for about 4-5 Hours. In this route, we will pass rural landscapes, small cities, rice fields, plantations, and beaches. Lunch will be served on the way to the local restaurant.  We will drive to the last point of Java by Ferry to Gilimanuk Ferry Port on Bali Island. Then, our Bali driver will escort you to your hotel in Bali (Ubud, Lovina, Sanur, Kuta, Jimbaran area) and you will reach around 4-5 pm depending on your location in Bali.
