YOGYAKARTA – BOROBUDUR SUNRISE TOUR – MOUNT BROMO – KALIBARU HIGHLAND – SUKAMADE TURTLE BEACH –  BALI  (5 DAYS – 4 NIGHTS)

TOUR ITINERARY

DAY 1: YOGYAKARTA AIRPORT –  HOTEL IN YOGYAKARTA AREA
The tour will start from the airport in Yogyakarta then our staff will meet you at the airport and we will drive from Yogyakarta Airport to your hotel in Yogyakarta area for staying overnight.
Note: If you can arrive in the morning, we can do city tour such as visiting Prambanan temple, Sultan Palace, Water castle and any other additional activity.

DAY 2: BOROBUDUR SUNRISE TOUR – HOTEL IN MOUNT BROMO AREA (TRAIN)
Borobudur temple is best seen at dawn when the air is fresh and full of birdsong. As the mist begins to lift, the sun scales the surrounding volcanoes and terraced fields and highlights the stone reliefs and the many faces of Buddha. Glimpsing Borobudur for the first time is often a deeply felt emotional experience.

Important News from Borobudur Temple

There will be no sunrise tour anymore on the top of the temple and no one is allowed to visit the top of the temple as well. From now on, we can only see the BOROBUDUR TEMPLE at the bottom of the temple and for sunrise, we will go to Setumbu Hill.

Good news: There is a trial to climb up to the top floor but with special shoes and you must follow the queue to get the tickets.

Monday: Borobudur is only opened from the bottom only (so not allowed to go further)

Borobudur sunrise tour offers a different experience where participants were given a special pass to enter the monument early in the morning approximately at 4.30 AM before public visitors and visitors have to walk from the hotel to Borobudur with a pre-dawn stroll through the dewy grass of a lush tropical garden. A super scenery and a very beautiful morning at Borobudur especially those moments when the sun would appear from the horizon. A truly enlightening experience!

After enjoying the tour above the magical Borobudur temple, we will invite you to take snack and tea or coffee in the hall of Manohara Hotel. Around 8:30 am, we will pick you up and let you prepare for breakfast and check out at 11:30 AM, then we will drive for an hour and half to Yogyakarta Train Station, to take a train (16:40 PM) and arriving in Surabaya (20:50). From Surabaya, we will drive for about 3 hours to Mount Bromo area. We will stay in Lava view lodge or similar hotel in Mount Bromo area. If you can check out earlier and make it check out from Borobudur area at 8 am, we can take 11:15 train and arrive in Surabaya at 15:15.

DAY 3: MOUNT BROMO TOUR – HOTEL IN KALIBARU HIGHLAND
Mount Bromo tour will be started around at 3.30 AM (when you come to Mount Bromo on the weekend, we have to start the tour earlier), the jeep will bring you to the most famous viewpoint on Mount Bromo area. That is Penanjakan hill, from the hill we can see the best sunrise in East Java with mountains and volcanoes as a background. Afterward, the jeep will continue your adventure holiday to reach the sea of sands in Mount Bromo area. We will stop at the parking area then you will cross the sea of sands by riding a horse or on foot (it is optional) till reaching the stairs at the slope of Mount Bromo where it will lead you to reach the peak of Mt. Bromo. After enjoying the volcanic activity on the top of Mount Bromo, you have to go back to your jeep then the jeep will bring you back to the hotel for breakfast, take shower, pack up, loading bags into ou car then we will continue our trip to Kalibaru Highland for about 4 hours. You will pass small villages, rural landscapes, rice fields & plantation. Then upon your arrival at Kalibaru Highland, you will stay overnight and have dinner at Margo Utomo Cottages or similar hotel with any kind of plantations surrounding and nice view hill.

DAY 04: KALIBARU HOTEL – ECO PLANTATIONS TOUR (AROMA TOUR) – SUKOMADE TURTLE BEACH (B, L, D)
After having breakfast at your hotel, then around at 08.00 AM, you will have a chance to enjoy the eco trip of plantations in Kalibaru area. On this tour program, you will do short trekking through 09 hectares plantations with varieties of spices such as nutmeg, cloves, pepper, vanilla, cinnamon, cocoa, coffee, and coconuts. You may also discover the extraordinary attraction of traditional process of making palm sugar from palm tree liquid. Do not to forget for visiting the dairy farm. The trip can be arranged in the morning and takes about 1 hour until 1,5 hours. Afterward, around 10.00 AM, we will continue our trip to Sukomade turtle beach. It takes about 2 hours to reach Pesanggaran village then continue to the Sukamade beach about 1,5 hours by crossing rain forest and rivers using our special adventure vehicle. Lunch will be served at the local restaurant on the way to Sukamade turtle beach. Upon your arrival in Sukamade turtle beach area, you will stay in Lodge or Homestay.

SUKOMADE TURTLE TOUR:
After having dinner at your homestay at 08.00 PM, The rangers of turtle foundation and natural resources conservation will take you to the shore of Sukamade beach to see the turtle is laying the eggs. The rangers will give you the very good guidance about what should you do and what shouldn’t do when you are there.

SUKOMADE TURTLE BEACH:
This is the most appropriate phrase to describe a trip to this national park or well known as Sukamade Beach. There are no tourists in many quantities. The only silence of the woods, the sound of rivers, hospitality of local people, cacao and coffee plantations. Crossing rivers, after 3 hours on the road and 2 hours of bumpy road, your trip will be full of challenges. Deep in the jungle, there is a beach where the landing of turtles.

7 species of sea turtles in the world and 6 species of sea turtles in Indonesia, 4 of species landing and laying eggs on the Sukamade Beach. Seeing the turtles lay their eggs in the night is the most poignant sights that can be seen by visitors. Imagining the sea-turtles take a distance of thousands of kilometers from their origin in the other parts of the continent far away and just laying eggs on the Sukamade Beach.

ACCOMMODATION IN SUKOAMDE BEACH:
The conditions here are very simple, but more often than not visitors are lucky enough to come back with an experience that is both unique and bound to become exceedingly rare. Stay overnight and take dinner at the lodge or guest house in Sukomade beach

DAY 5: SUKAMADE TURTLE BEACH – BALI
After breakfast in Sukomade turtle beach area, about 07.00 AM. We will have a chance to release some baby turtle or little juveniles to the Sukomade beach. Then exploring the surroundings of Sukomade, this is an area of virtually void of people. Go and a dip in crystal clear water nearby river. Afterward, we will be back to the town of Banyuwangi about 4 – 5 hours for having lunch at the local restaurant, and then we will drive to Ketapang Ferry Port then take a ferry to reach Gilimanuk Ferry Port in the most western tip of Bali Island. Upon arrival in Gilmanuk Ferry port, we will escort you to your hotel in Bali (Ubud, Lovina, Sanur, Kuta, Jimbaran area).
