Mount Bromo Camping Tour Package From Surabaya 3 Days 2 Nights – Mount Bromo is one of the best volcanoes in Indonesia that you must visit during your holiday in Indonesia. It’s located in East Java, the easiest way is from Probolinggo town. You can start from Bali (10-11 hours) or Malang or Surabaya (3-4 hours’ drive).

There are some hostels, homestay, lodges or expensive hotels that can be booked here, but make sure you book it as early as you can, because each hostel or hotel has limited supply for the rooms.

Based on our experiences in Tourism Industry since 2015 officially, we try to offer an one night camping at the sunrise in Hill near Mount Bromo, so it will be fun and not normal trip as people do. And another night, you will be staying at the Hotel/Lodge/Homestay nearby Mount Bromo area.

The positive reason why we do camping one night and one night with hotel/homestay, we will give you the experience how to enjoy the view of Mount Bromo from your tent, it’s a hidden spot too where we do camping, and if you are into a photography, it will be great to do Milky Way Shooting at night (when the weather is great enough for stargazing).

And the second night, you will be staying at the local hotel or homestay near Mount Bromo, the reason is, you will get a proper shower after dusty trekking to the top of Mount Bromo.

TOUR DETAILS:

DAY 1: SURABAYA – PERAHU HILL (BROMO CAMPING AREA)
On the first day of the trip, we recommend to start before midday or at least before 14:00, so you will have a time to enjoy the village before we head to our Camping area. The length of the journey from Surabaya to Mount Bromo area is about 3-4 hours away.

Note: You can also can be started from Malang too. You can just let us know your start point and we will give you the best advice for you. 

Upon your arrival in Mount Bromo area, we will be stopping in our basecamp, where you can change your clothes to warmer clothes, using toilet, and we will ride a jeep from here to our Camping Point in Mount Bromo area.

For toilets during the camping, we will escort you to toilets nearby that organized by the local shops there. But we can’t shower, because the water is so limit up there.

During the night, you will be having the dinner together with our crews with a local food from Mount Bromo area, and enjoy the cold breeze. After dinner, you will required to sleep because we will wake up at 4 am to be ready for catching up the Sunrise.

DAY 2: BROMO SUNRISE TOUR – BROMO TREKKING TOUR – CHECK IN AT HOTEL/HOMESTAY IN BROMO AREA – VILLAGE TOUR AND SUNSET IN METIGEN HILL

The second day of the trip, will be starting at 4 am where our guide will wake you up to prepare for our sunrise trip, the sun will rises about 5:30 am, but it’s better to wake up earlier, so you can prepare what you need.

For the Sunrise, we don’t need to go anywhere. We just stay in our Camping point and watch the beautiful view from our site.

After watching the sunrise, you will get a local breakfast and hot coffee or tea before, we head to the top of Mount Bromo.

About 7:00, we will be ready to move to our jeep and go down to the sea of sand where we will hike the top of Mount Bromo. We also will stop at the sea of sand where you can take photo of surrounding. Afterward, we will continue drive to parking area and we will walk about 45 minutes away to reach the top of Mount Bromo area. The path is quite dusty and steep in the last 20 minutes.

If you feel tired, you can hire a horse to ride from the local people here.it costs about 10 USD for one way.

Upon your arrival at the top of Mount Bromo, you will be so amazed with the view of this volcano, sometimes it spews some smoke with sulfuric smell. So, we are not allowed to stay here too long, because we never know when it will become more active.

After enjoying the area, we will go back to our jeep and drive to the local restaurant to have another breakfast and then check in at the local hotel/homestay nearby.

About 3 am, our guide will invite you to walk around the village to see the afternoon activity of the local people and we will watch a sunset in Metigen Hill when the weather is great.

DAY 3: MADAKARIPURA WATERFALL TRIP – TRANSFER TO SURABAYA AREA

The last day of the trip will be quite easy, no need wake up too early. We will start the trip about 9 am from our stay in Mount Bromo area then we will be heading to Madakaripura Waterfall.

The drive will be about an hour and we will take a local motorbike taxi to the start point of the waterfall (it’s about 10 minutes), the trekking is also not so long, it will take about 15-20 minutes’ walk. For this waterfall trip, you will be needed a poncho, slipper, waterproof bag and wet suits because we will get wet to get the waterfall here.

After enjoying the waterfall, we will go back to our car and change our clothes then we will head to Surabaya area (it can be in Surabaya Juanda Airport, Train Station or a local in Surabaya). The drive will take about 3-4 hours away.
