HOW TO GET THERE:
Mount Bromo is located between 3 towns: Probolinggo, Malang, and Pasuruan. The best way to reach Mount Bromo is from Surabaya or Malang.

THE ITINERARY OF BROMO MIDNIGHT TOUR FROM MALANG
We will pick you up at your hotel/homestay in Malang area around 23:30 to 00 am, we will be driving about 2 hours from Malang to the village of the last checkpoint in Jemplang Village. Then our Jeep (4WD) will drive about 60 minutes to King Kong Hill or a nearby sunrise point where we can see the best view of Mount Bromo during the sunrise. The road to get there is always crowded and traffic is everywhere, especially during the peak season of the holiday, a thousand jeeps at the same street.
When the sun rises at 5:30 am, everyone is ready to take their best place to capture the best moment here. At about 6:30 am, we will be back in our jeep and ready to drive back to the sea of san,d where we will do trekking up to Mount Bromo.
The trek to Mount Bromo is about 45 minutes. If you feel unwell or are tired of trekking, you can ride a horse for 20 USD up and down. To reach the top of Mount Bromo, you also need to take the stairs built by the national park to reach the peak of Mount Bromo. It’s about 250 stairs.
After enjoying the view from the top of Mount Bromo, we will go back to our jeep and drive back to the village where our car is waiting for you. For breakfast, there are 2 options that you can take: a local breakfast (breakfast is not included). You can just let our driver know which one you prefer most, so he can inform the restaurant.
ITINERARY WITH TIMETABLE
- 00:00 AM (MIDNIGHT) – 2 AM: Travel from Malang to Jemplang Village.
- 2:00 AM: Arrival in the village, pay the ticket, and get ready to drive to viewpoint.
- 4:00 AM: Arrive at Sunrise Viewpoint (King Kong hill or similar) for sunrise viewing.
- 5:30 AM – 6:30 AM: Witness and enjoy the sunrise over Mount Bromo and its surroundings.
- 6:30 AM: Descend into the Bromo Caldera.
- 7:30 AM – 9:00 AM: Explore the Bromo Caldera, including the hiking Bromo Crater, the Sea of Sand, and the Hindu temple.
- 9:00 AM: Breakfast (cost on your own)
- 10:00 AM: Depart for Malang.
- 12:00 – 13:00: Arrive in Malang.NOTE: TIME CAN BE CHANGED AND ADJUSTED BASED ON THE SITUATION OF TRAFFIC AND NATURE.
