TOUR ITINERARY

Day 1: Pick up service from Ubud Bali – Hotel in Banyuwangi

Bali to Ijen Crater will start at 10:00 AM (Balinese timezone), our staff will pick you up from your hotel in Ubud, Bali. Then you will drive from Ubud, Bali to Gilimanuk Ferry Port and it will take about ±4-5 hours’ drive. Arriving at Gilimanuk Ferry Port, you will take the ferry for about an hour to reach Ketapang Ferry Port (Java side). Afterward, we will escort you to a local restaurant for lunch then continue our trip to your hotel in the Banyuwangi area for a pleasurable stay before you do trekking in Ijen Crater tomorrow morning.

Day 2: Ijen Crater Tour – Hotel in Mount Bromo area

Ijen Crater tour will start at about 4:00 AM, our car will take us to Paltuding, which this a parking place where you will start your trekking to the top of Ijen Crater, which has an altitude of about 1850 m. The journey from your hotel to Paltuding takes only an hour. Arriving in Paltuding, you have to prepare everything that you need for trekking and 1.5 hours will be required to hike Ijen Crater is 3 km away. Along the walking path, you will enjoy the stunning natural scenery with fresh air and birds singing. Upon your arrival at the peak of Ijen Crater with an altitude of about 2385 mAsl. You will be amazed at the enchanting panorama of Ijen Crater; it has a lake of acid water where the water changes to be turquoise color.

OPTIONAL PROGRAM:
If the weather is good enough and you still have a good condition, you can take Ijen blue fire tour in Ijen Crater but you are required to leave from the Homestay around 00:30 AM or Midnight. The view will be so picturesque when you take a photo from above the crater. Besides the view, you will see the sulfur miners where they go down into the crater to take the yellow sulfur rock and climb back up by passing a dangerous path on the edge of Ijen Crater with the load as much as 80 kilograms on their shoulders. This is a dangerous and hard job. After enjoying the enchanting scenery at Crater of Ijen Crater then we will go down to the parking area where our car is waiting to escort you to the next destination, that is Mount Bromo, we will drive for about 5-6 hours with some stops for lunch or minimarts.

Day 3: Bromo Tour – Surabaya

The Mount Bromo tour will start around 3.30 AM (when you come to Mount Bromo on the weekend, we have to start the tour earlier), the jeep will bring you to the most famous viewpoint in Mount Bromo area. That is Penanjakan Hill, from the hill we can see the best sunrise in East Java with mountains and volcanoes as a background. Afterward, the jeep will continue your adventure holiday to reach the sea of sands in the Mount Bromo area. We will stop at the parking area then you will cross the sea of sands by riding a horse or on foot (it is optional) till reaching the stairs at the slope of Mount Bromo which will lead you to reach the peak of Mt. Bromo. After enjoying the volcanic activity on the top of Mount Bromo, you have to go back to your jeep then the jeep will bring you back to a hotel for breakfast, take a shower, and pack your bags into our car afterward we will continue our trip to the Surabaya (Airport, Hotel or Train Station). The trip will take about 3-4 hours.

OPTIONAL VISIT:

When you do not need to catch a train or flight from Surabaya, we can offer you a visit to Madakaripura Waterfall. Madakaripura Waterfall is one of the best waterfalls in East Java that you must visit when you are visiting Mount Bromo. The cost will be on your own, you can pay for our guide about that.
