DETAILED ITINERARY FOR FLORES OVERLAND AND ISLAND HOPPING TOURS (8 DAYS 7 NIGHTS)

DAY 1: DENPASAR – ENDE AIRPORT– WOLOGAI TRADITIONAL VILLAGE – MONI (L,D)

Arrival at Ende airport in the central of Flores, you will be picking up by your English speaking driver to Moni Village. On the way to Moni Village, we have chance to visit traditional village of Wologai. At that village, you will feel and see the authentic megalith society. Afterward, we go to Moni village for staying overnight at Kelimutu Moni eco lodge or similar hotel.

Duration: Ende Airport– Moni Village: 2 -3 Hours

DAY 2: MONI – KELIMUTU LAKE – BENA TRADITIONAL VILLAGE – MANULALU (B,L,D)

Waking up around 3.30 am then preparing your stuffs for trekking to Kelimutu Lake. About 04.00 am, your driver is ready to take to Kelimutu lake area with its three -colored crater lakes. It takes an hour driving and 15 minutes do trekking from parking place. It is the most amazing natural phenomenon in East Nusa Tenggara. The color has dramatic changed in the last 20 years, now it has turquoise, Blue and dark green. In the morning is has the best opportunities to enjoy sunrise. About at 07.00 AM, your driver will bring you back to hotel for breakfast, take shower, packing, loading bags into our van. Afterward, we will continue our trip to Bena traditional village. In this route, we will pass rural landscape, small cities, rice fields, plantations, and beaches. Lunch will be served on the way at the Local restaurant in Ende. Upon your arrival in Manulalu, we will escort you to visit Bena Village. It is the most famous and also most visited village in the Ngada district. With its impressive stone formations and ancestral shrines, as well as traditional houses, Bena has turned into a signpost for Ngada culture. After enjoying the village, we are going to our villa for having dinner and stay overnight at Manulalu Villa or similar hotel for enjoyable stay.

Duration: Moni – Manulalu : 6 Hours

DAY 3: MANULALU – BAJAWA – AIMERE – RUTENG (B,L,D)

Waking up about 05.00 am, you will welcomed by the sunrise in front of your villa with the mountain background of Mount Inerie. You can walk around with breathing the fresh air. Back to your villa, the villa will serve a menu for your breakfast while enjoying the view. About 09.00 am, we drive to Aimere area, we can make stop for a while to see traditional wine maker. We call it “Arak” distillation and palm wine fresh by refining. Lunch will be served in Borong area, on the way to Ruteng, you can visit Ranamese lake in the cloud forest. Dinner and stay overnight at Susteran MBC, Ruteng.

Duration: Bajawa -Ruteng : 4 Hours

DAY 4: RUTENG – LABUAN BAJO (B,L,D)

After an early breakfast about 08.00 am, we will depart from Ruteng to visit spider web rice fields and enjoying the Ruteng area from up the hill. After enjoying the great panorama, we continue to take lunch in the local restaurant. Afterward, we drive to Labuan Bajo via Dintor and Nangalili (depending on the road condition; alternatively take the route through Todo Village to Labuanbajo. About 03.00 pm, you arrive in Labuan Bajo area; you have to check in first at the hotel and rest of hour for couple of hour. About 5.30, you will be invited to go to special spot in Labuan Bajo, here, you will have chance to watch the most popular sunset in Labuhan Bajo. After enjoying the sunset, we will accompany you to your hotel for having dinner and staying overnight in the hotel in Labuhan Bajo area

OPTIONAL PROGRAM:  Watching Caci Dance, Caci Dance is more than just a traditional Manggarai dance. This is a ritual whip fight, is a major element of Manggarai cultural identity. Being a unique and aesthetic delight for spectators, caci performances are an attraction to foreign as well as domestic visitors of Manggarai. Caci is played out by two male adversaries, with one of them usually coming from another village to compete. It will be held for 1 – 2 hours. (Cost is about IDR 2,500,000)

Duration: Ruteng -Labuanbajo : 4 Hours

DAY 5: LABUAN BAJO –MANTA RAYS POINT (SNORKELING AND DIVING SITE) GILI LAWA DARAT (STAYING OVERNIGHT ON BOAT) (B, L, D)

After having breakfast about 08.00 am, your driver will escort you to the pier of Labuan Bajo for checking in our boat. After putting all your stuff in your room on the boat, we will be ready for sailing. Firstly, we are going to Manta rays point where you can see a lot of Manta rays swim away surrounding our boats but the water quite cold. Afterward, we are going to Gili Lawa darat for having dinner and staying overnight here.

DAY 6: GILI LAWA DARAT ISLAND – PADAR ISLAND – PINK BEACH (SNORKELING AND DIVING SITE) – KALONG ISLAND (STAYING OVERNIGHT) (B,L,D)

About 05.00 am, your boat will be ready to go Padar Island where you can see stunning beaches from the top of the hill.  Before going up to the hill, you must take breakfast which is served by the crew men. After enjoying the panorama from the hill, we have to return to the boat and going to a pink beach. This peculiar beach gets its color from red coral fragments. It is definitely a great place to spend some time by just laying back or enjoying the underwater world with your snorkeling equipment. After enjoying the beach, we will head to Komodo fisherman village. Here we have chance to take a walk to see the local people here. Then, we return to the boatfor going to Kalong Island for watching the best sunset ever. It’s time for having dinner and staying overnight in Kalong island before doing trekking in Komodo National Park tomorrow morning.

DAY 7: KALONG ISLAND – KOMODO DRAGON ISLAND – KANAWA ISLAND (DIVING AND SNORKELING) (B,L,D)

After having breakfast about 07.00 am, we will take medium trek in Komodo National Park. It takes about 1 1/2 hours. It passes a waterhole where the Timor deer and wild pigs often come to drink. Sometimes, Komodo dragons can be found there lying around and waiting. You will climb Sulphurea Hill and Frigate Hill, where a magnificent view across the islands, bays and beaches awaits. After enjoying the park, we return to the boat and go to Kanawa island for staying overnight around Kanawa island

DAY 8: KANAWA ISLAND – LABUAN BAJO – DENPASAR (BALI) (B)

After breakfast about 09.00 am and enjoying the morning view here, we will escort you back to the Labuan Bajo for catching your flight to Bali. If you still have enough time, you are able to walk around to the area of Labuan bajo, such as Market or shops. Afterward, you will be escorting to Labuan Bajo airport.
