WHAT MAKES THIS TOUR INTERESTING?
This tour is designed to be basic itinerary that normally travellers are looking for when they are going to explore Mount Bromo and Ijen Crater as their travel plan. We highly recommended to start from Surabaya City and finished in Bali Island. Three days is a good length to explore those destinations. This tour is good for solo, couple, or group of travellers. TOUR ITINERARY

Day 1: Pick up service from Surabaya – Hotel in Mount Bromo area

Bromo Ijen tour will start in Surabaya area about 9:00 AM (it depends on your schedule too), our guide and driver will pick you up at the hotel, train station or airport. And then, we will drive from Surabaya to Mount Bromo area for about 3-4 hours. Upon your arrival in Mount Bromo area, we will escort you to the hotel in Mount Bromo area for an enjoyable stay before you do a tour in Mount Bromo.

OPTIONAL PROGRAM:
If you can start in the morning & the weather is good enough, you will have a chance to visit Madakaripura Waterfall during the way from Surabaya to your hotel in Mount Bromo area. Please check the picture of Madakaripura waterfall on the Internet.

Day 2: Mount Bromo Tour – Hotel in Banyuwangi area

Mount Bromo tour will be started around at 3:30 AM (when you come to Mount Bromo on the weekend, we have to start the tour earlier), the jeep will bring you to the most famous viewpoint on Mount Bromo area. That is Penanjakan hill, from the hill we can see the best sunrise in East Java with mountains and volcanoes as a background. Afterward, the jeep will continue your trip to reach the sea of sands in Mount Bromo area. We will stop at the parking area then you will cross the sea of sands by riding a horse or on foot (it is optional) till reaching the stairs at the slope of Mount Bromo where it will lead you to reach the peak of Mount Bromo.

After enjoying the volcanic activity on the top of Mount Bromo, you have to go back to your jeep then the jeep will bring you back to the hotel for breakfast, take shower, pack up, loading bags into our car afterward we will continue our trip to your Hotel in Banyuwangi area for about 5-6 hours. In this route, we will pass rural landscapes, small cities, rice fields, plantations, and beaches. You can take lunch at the local restaurant. About at late afternoon or in the early evening, we will be reaching your hotel in Ijen Crater area which is only an hour away from Ijen Crater. You will be staying overnight here before you do Ijen Crater trekking on the next morning.

Day 3: Ijen Crater Tour – Hotel in Bali area

Ijen crater tour will start at 5:00 AM, our car will bring us to Paltuding area by passing through the plantations and rainforest. Paltuding is a parking area with an altitude of about 1850 m. This journey takes approximately an hour from the hotel. Arriving at the Paltuding area, 1.5 hours will be required to hike Ijen Crater (2386m).

OPTIONALPROGRAM:
If the weather is good enough and you still have a good condition for trekking at night, you will have the chance to do Ijen Blue Fire tour in Ijen Crater, but you are required to leave from your Hotel/ Homestay around 00:30 AM or Midnight. Please check the picture of the blue fire at Ijen Crater on the Internet.

Along the way to the top of Ijen crater, you will enjoy the stunning natural scenery with fresh air and bird’s singing. Upon your arrival at the peak of Ijen Crater with an altitude of about 2385 m. You will be amazed at the enchanting panorama of Ijen Crater; it has the lake of acid water where the water changes to be turquoise color. The view will be so picturesque when you take a photo from above the crater. Besides the view, you will see the sulfur miners where they go down into the crater to take the yellow sulfur rock and climb back up by passing a dangerous path on the edge of Ijen Crater with the load as much as 80 kilograms on their shoulders. Make sure, you will give something to the sulfur miners/ workers after you take a portrait of them.

This is really a dangerous and hard job. After enjoying the enchanting scenery at Crater of Ijen Crater then we will go down to the parking area where our car is waiting for escorting you to the plantations (coffee and clove) before the town of Banyuwangi. Afterward, we will be back to the town of Banyuwangi for going back to Hotel and take our bags then we will drive to Ketapang Ferry Port then take a ferry to reach Gilimanuk Ferry Port at the most western tip of Bali Island. Upon arrival in Gilmanuk Ferry port, our Bali driver will escort you to your hotel in Bali area.
