DETAILED ITINERARY FOR FLORES OVERLAND AND ISLAND HOPPING TOURS (9 DAYS 8 NIGHTS)
DAY 1: DENPASAR (BALI) – LAY OVER 4H30M IN LABUAN BAJO – ENDE AIRPORT – WOLOGAI TRADITIONAL VILLAGE – MONI VILLAGE
Your adventure begins with a flight from Denpasar (Bali) to Ende Airport, where your guide will greet you upon arrival. From here, you’ll drive to Wologai Traditional Village, a well-preserved Lio tribal village known for its unique cone-shaped houses and intricate carvings. This is a great opportunity to learn about the Lio people’s traditions, rituals, and daily life.
NOTE: THE FLIGHT FROM BALI TO ENDE AIRPORT TAKES LONGER THAN USUAL, THE FLIGHT IS AT 7:55 AM & ARRIVES IN LABUAN BAJO (KOMODO AIRPORT) AT 9:05 AM THEN LAYOVER FOR ABOUT 4H30M THEN CONTINUES TAKING A FLIGHT TO ENDE AT 1:20 PM AND ARRIVING AT 2:10 PM.
After exploring Wologai, you’ll continue the scenic drive to Moni Village, a peaceful town nestled at the base of Mount Kelimutu. Moni serves as the gateway to Kelimutu National Park and is surrounded by lush green landscapes. Upon arrival, check-in at your accommodation and enjoy the tranquil atmosphere, preparing for an early morning trek the next day.

DAY 2: MONI – KELIMUTU LAKE – BENA TRADITIONAL VILLAGE – MANULALU (B, L, D)
Wake up before dawn and take a short drive to Kelimutu National Park for a mesmerizing sunrise experience. After a short 30-minute hike, you’ll arrive at the Kelimutu Crater Lakes, famous for their ever-changing colors. The three crater lakes, often displaying shades of blue, green, and red, hold great spiritual significance for the local people, who believe they are the resting places of departed souls.
After soaking in the breathtaking sunrise views, return to Moni for breakfast before continuing your journey toward Bena Traditional Village, one of the most iconic and well-preserved megalithic villages in Ngada Regency. Here, you’ll get to see traditional Ngada houses, and ancient stone altars, and learn about the villagers’ animistic beliefs.
From Bena, you’ll proceed to Manulalu, a beautiful highland retreat with panoramic views of Mount Inerie. Relax, enjoy the fresh mountain air, and check in at your accommodation for the night.

DAY 3: MANULALU – BAJAWA – AIMERE – RUTENG (B, L, D)
After breakfast, explore the Bajawa region, known for its traditional Ngada culture, stunning landscapes, and natural hot springs. Take in the beautiful highland scenery before driving toward Aimere, a small town famous for its arak (palm wine) distillation. Here, you’ll get a chance to witness the traditional fermentation process and even sample some of the locally brewed arak.
Continue your journey to Ruteng, a cool and misty town in the Manggarai highlands. Known as the “City of a Thousand Churches,” Ruteng offers a glimpse into Flores’ strong Catholic heritage and colonial history. Upon arrival, check-in at your hotel and enjoy a peaceful evening.

DAY 4: RUTENG– SPIDER WEB FIELD – DINTOR VILLAGE (START POINT TO TREK WAEREBO VILLAGE) – TREKKING TO WAE REBO VILLAGE (B,L,D)
Start your day with a visit to the famous Spider Web Rice Fields (Lingko Lodok), a unique agricultural landscape shaped like a spider’s web. This traditional Manggarai farming system, known as “Lingko,” is used to divide land fairly among families.
From Ruteng, drive to Dintor Village, the starting point for the trek to Wae Rebo Village. The 3-4-hour hike takes you through lush rainforests, misty hills, and bamboo groves, offering breathtaking views along the way. Upon arrival in Wae Rebo, you’ll be welcomed by the locals and have the chance to stay in a Mbaru Niang, a traditional cone-shaped house. This UNESCO-listed village is home to the Manggarai people, who continue to preserve their age-old customs and way of life.
Enjoy a traditional dinner, interact with the villagers, and experience the authentic culture of Wae Rebo before resting for the night.
Duration: Ruteng – Dintor Village : 3 Hours, Dintor Village – Waerebo Village (4 hours by foot)
DAY 5: WAEREBO VILLAGE – DINTOR VILLAGE – LABUAN BAJO (B,L,D)
Wake up in the serene setting of Wae Rebo Village, surrounded by towering mountains and morning mist. Enjoy a warm local breakfast before bidding farewell to the villagers. Begin the trek back down to Dintor Village, where your driver will be waiting.
From Dintor, embark on a long but scenic drive to Labuan Bajo (approx. 4-5 hours). Along the way, stop for refreshments and stunning viewpoints before arriving in Labuan Bajo, a charming coastal town and the gateway to Komodo National Park. Check-in at your accommodation and relax after a full day of travel.

DAY 6: LABUAN BAJO – KELOR ISLAND – MANJARITE – KALONG RINCA ISLAND (B, L, D)
Your Komodo boat adventure begins! After breakfast, board your private or shared boat and set sail toward Kelor Island, a small but scenic island offering a short trek with panoramic views and crystal-clear waters for snorkeling.
Next, head to Manjarite, a stunning snorkeling spot teeming with colorful coral reefs and diverse marine life. After some time in the water, continue to Kalong Rinca Island, where you’ll witness a mesmerizing sunset as thousands of flying foxes (bats) emerge from the mangrove forests.
Enjoy dinner and spend the night onboard the boat, drifting under the starlit sky.
DAY 7: PADAR ISLAND – LONG BEACH – KOMODO ISLAND – TAKA MAKASSAR – MANTA POINT (B, L, D)
Wake up early for a hike on Padar Island, known for its breathtaking panoramic views of three uniquely colored beaches—black, white, and pink. This iconic landscape is one of the most photographed spots in Komodo National Park.
Afterward, relax at Long Beach, famous for its pinkish sand and turquoise waters. Then, continue to Komodo Island, home to the legendary Komodo dragons. Take a guided walk to observe these ancient reptiles in their natural habitat.
Next, visit Taka Makassar, a small crescent-shaped sandbank surrounded by clear blue waters, perfect for swimming and sunbathing. End the day at Manta Point, where you’ll have the chance to snorkel with majestic manta rays in their natural environment. Spend another night onboard the boat.
DAY 8: BIDADARI ISLAND – STURE ISLAND – RANGKO CAVE – BACK TO LABUAN BAJO (B, L, D)
After breakfast, sail to Bidadari Island, a secluded paradise perfect for swimming and snorkeling. Continue to Sture Island, another beautiful snorkeling spot with vibrant coral reefs and abundant marine life.
Later, visit Rangko Cave, a hidden gem featuring a crystal-clear natural pool inside a cave. Take a refreshing dip in the cool, turquoise waters before heading back to Labuan Bajo. Upon arrival, check-in at your hotel and enjoy a relaxing evening in the town.
DAY 9: FREE LEISURE & DROP TO AIRPORT
Enjoy your final morning in Labuan Bajo, relaxing at your hotel or exploring the town at your own pace. If time allows and your flight schedule permits, you can opt for a morning visit to Rangko Cave instead of in the afternoon on day 8.
Later, transfer to Labuan Bajo Airport for your departure flight.
