YOGYAKARTA BROMO IJEN BALI TOUR (4D3N)

YOGYAKARTA – BROMO – KALIBARU HIGHLAND –  BANYUWANGI CITY – IJEN CRATER – BALI (4 DAYS 3 NIGHTS)

ITINERARY

DAY 1:  YOGYAKARTA – HOTEL IN MOUNT BROMO AREA

The Bromo tour from Yogyakarta will start at 7.00 AM, our staff will meet you at your hotel in Yogyakarta then we will continue our trip to the Mount Bromo area. We will drive from Yogyakarta to Mount Bromo for about 10 hours. For lunch break, we will stop at the local restaurant on the way to Bromo and for dinner, you can eat at the local place near where you stay or take dinner at the place where you are staying.

DAY 2: MOUNT BROMO TOUR – KALIBARU HIGHLAND

Mount Bromo tour will start at 3.30 AM from your hotel and then the jeep will bring you to the world’s most famous viewpoints, those are Penanjakan and Kingkong hill, it’s located on the rim of the Tengger caldera (2,700m). From here, you can see the enchanting sunrise with the amazing scenery of Mount Bromo, Batok, and Semeru. After you have enjoyed the view here, we will go back to the jeep then the jeep will continue our adventure to reach the sea of sands in the Mt. Bromo area. We will stop at the parking area then you will cross the sea of sands by riding a horse or on foot (it is optional) till reach the stairs up at the slope of Mt. Bromo which will lead you to reach the peak of Mt. Bromo. Around 8.00 AM, the jeep will bring you back to the hotel for breakfast, take shower, pack, and load bags into our car, and then we will continue our trip to the Hotel in the area of Kalibaru Highland for about 5 Hours drive, we will pass some small towns, villages, and plantations on the way to Kalibaru. We will stop at the local restaurant for our lunch break. Upon arrival in Kalibaru Highland, you will stay at Margo Utomo Cottages or a similar hotel with any kind of plantations surrounding and a nice view hill.

DAY 3: KALIBARU HOTEL – ECO PLANTATIONS TRIP – TRANSFER TO BANYUWANGI TOWN

Having breakfast at your hotel, then around 08.00 AM, you will have a chance to enjoy the eco trip of plantations in the Kalibaru area. On this tour program, you will do short trekking through 09 hectares of plantations with varieties of spices such as nutmeg, cloves, pepper, vanilla, cinnamon, cocoa, coffee, and coconuts. You may also discover the extraordinary attraction of the traditional process of making palm sugar from palm tree liquid. Do not to forget for visiting the dairy farm. The trip can be arranged in the morning and takes about 1 hour until 1,5 hours. Afterward, around 10.00 AM, we will continue our trip to Banyuwangi for about 1, 5 – 2 hours. You may stop when you pass the interesting things such as old ancient buildings, villages & ricefields.

DAY 4: IJEN CRATER TOUR – TRANSFER TO YOUR HOTEL IN BALI

Ijen crater tour will start at 5.00 AM from your hotel then our car will bring us to the village of Licin and then continue to the slope of Mount Ijen, passing through plantations and rainforest. This is one of few remaining on the island of Java with giant ferns, plants & big trees. This journey takes approximately 1, 5 hours. Arriving at the parking area of Ijen Crater (1850m), From here, you need 1, 5 hours will be required to hike the slope o Ijen Crater. Along the path, you will enjoy the stunning natural scenery with fresh air & shade. Rest on the edge of the crater at an altitude of 2386 meters and enjoy the best panorama of the lake of acid water which reflects the spectacular view in the surrounding walls that gives the impression of doom. The sulfur miners go down into the crater and climb back up by passing a dangerous path on the edge of the Ijen crater with a load of as much as 80 kilograms on their shoulders.

After enjoying the natural scenery at Crater of Ijen and then descending the slope of Mount Ijen until the vehicles parking area where our vehicle is waiting for escorting you back to the town of Banyuwangi for lunch at the local restaurant, and then we will drive to Ketapang Ferry Port then take a ferry to reach Gilimanuk Ferry Port in the most western tip of Bali Island. Upon arrival at Gilmanuk Ferry port, we will escort you to your hotel in Bali (Ubud, Lovina, Sanur, Kuta, Jimbaran area). TOUR’S SERVICES FINISHED

OPTIONAL PROGRAM:

If the weather is good enough and you have good conditions for trekking at night, you can take Ijen blue fire tour at Ijen Crater but you are required to leave the Hotel or Homestay around 00.30 AM or Midnight. Please check the picture of the blue fire at Ijen Crater on the Internet.
