Java Island is the most populated island in Indonesia with more than 150 million people living here and the total population in Indonesia is 273,5 million (2020). Besides the huge population, Java Island has magnificent dream destinations for any traveler around the world, from timeless temples, amazing waterfall, super active volcanoes, local wisdom, and culture. That’s why our Government always keeps promoting our destinations abroad for gaining more visitors to come here. Based on the phenomenon, we help some of the travelers with better information before visiting Java Island. In this six days route guide, we will start from Yogyakarta which is the most touristic place in Central Java, where we will be visiting the famous cultural destinations in Yogyakarta, such as Sultan Palace, Tamansari Water Castle, Kaliadem Merapi Village where you can see the destruction of Eruption from Mount Merapi a few years back, and the biggest Hindu Temple, Prambanan Temple. Then, we will be heading to Borobudur Temple which is located 1H30M from Yogyakarta. Borobudur Temple is located in Magelang Town.  After enjoying the beauty of Central Java, we will be heading to East Java by morning train( from Yogyakarta to Surabaya). DAY 1 – 2: EXPLORING BOROBUDUR TEMPLE AND YOGYAKARTA
Yogyakarta has an international airport that is very accessible from Malaysia, Singapore, or even bigger cities in Indonesia such as Jakarta, Surabaya, or Bali. We recommend to be arrived in here before midday, so you will have some time to explore the local life in Yogyakarta. Borobudur Temple Sunrise Tour is a must-take trip when you are here. We recommend booking a hotel /homestay on day one near Borobudur Temple, so you can easily go to Manohara Hotel to buy a ticket for Borobudur Sunrise Tour, the second day, we recommend booking a hotel/ homestay near Tugu Train Station because you will take a morning train to Surabaya on the third day.

DAY 3: TRAIN YOGYAKARTA TO SURABAYA THEN DRIVE TO THE MOUNT BROMO AREA
We recommend taking a morning train at 6:30 am and reaching Surabaya Train at 11:37 am, the train’s name is Sancaka Pagi with an exclusive class. Then you will be needing three hours’ drive to reach the village of Mount Bromo area, we recommend you book a hostel or hotel in Cemoro Lawang village which is the closest village before Mount Bromo. DAY 4: SUNRISE AND TREKKING ON MOUNT BROMO AND LEAVING TO TUMPAK SEWU WATERFALL VILLAGE
Mount Bromo Sunrise Tour and trekking to the top of Mount Bromo itself is one of the most recommended things to do on the fourth day before going to the next highly recommended place that is Tumpak Sewu Waterfall, Tumpak Sewu Waterfall is located in Sidomulyo Village in Lumajang Town which is about five hours away from Mount Bromo, it’s the new destination in Java Island, there are only three homestay providers and there is no restaurant or big minimart, so make sure you shop in Probolinggo town. Day 5: VISIT TUMPAK SEWU WATERFALL AND DRIVE ABOUT SIX HOURS TO BANYUWANGI TOWN
Early morning is the best time to start to visit this waterfall because there will be fewer people and you can see the magnificent Semeru Volcano in the background. DAY 6: MIDNIGHT TREKKING TO IJEN CRATER AND GOING TO BALI ISLAND
The last day will be the last trekking to the most amazing volcano with its beautiful view that makes your photo will be full of likes and comments. After the whole experience in Java Island, it’s time to say goodbye and go to Bali Island. From Banyuwangi Town, you just need to go to Ketapang Harbor and take an hour ferry to Bali Island (Gilimanuk Harbor), you can read the information about the ferry here if you feel not sure about the schedule. Do not forget that Bali is an hour ahead of that Java Island.

Important Alert: At the moment, the blue fire spot is closed due to some accident about 1 year ago, so the local rangers limit the visitor who wants to visit this spot. If they want to visit, they have to apply for the Permit that costs you about 105 USD (it can cover 4-5 persons).
